“Look at the birds of the air: they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” — Jesus in Matthew 6:26
God loves all of his creation; every single animal that walks, crawls, swims, and flys has it’s own place in His heart. However, Matthew 6:26 teaches us that God loves humans the most. We were created to be His companions, and to take care of the world He created.
It can often be easy to dismiss the idea that God loves us on an individual level. The Bible teaches us that He does. During Jesus’s life and ministry he used parables like this to demonstrate His love for mankind.
This scripture is a personal favorite of mine so I always keep it in the back of my mind.
